How to Contribute to the Ivy Hall Review

Ivy Hall Review is an online literary journal that showcases innovative fiction, and essays. We impose no restrictions on genre, we simply want your best idea. All SCAD students, both current and alumni, are eligible to submit for review. Please see below for a list of guidelines before submitting.

  • All submissions should be single-spaced with numbered pages. Fiction should be less than 5,000 words and essays should be less than 3,000 words.

  • Please do not submit work that has been already published.

  • Simultaneous submissions are accepted but you must indicate this at the time of submission. Please email your respective editor if your submission is accepted elsewhere.

  •  You may send up to two submissions at a time for consideration although each should be submitted separately.

  • Please only submit once per quarter. You will be notified via email a week before the next publication of the Ivy Hall Review of your acceptance.

  • Please only submit original works (not fan works).

  • If selected for publication, please be prepared to submit with your submission a small bio for your page, and a professional looking headshot.

  • All Graduate students and alumni are to inquire about their works via the Graduate Editor. All Undergraduate students are to inquire via the Undergraduate Editor.
